What does BYOK actually mean?
You bring the AI provider API key. Jorv calls the provider directly under your key — we never proxy, never store the responses, never see the bill. The licence we charge is for the cockpit, not the inference.
What does BYOI mean?
Bring Your Own Infrastructure. Your code, your data, and your local compute stay on your machine (Mac or Windows). Hosted optional services — feedback ingestion, GitHub App webhooks — can run in your cloud account too.
How does this compare to Cursor / Copilot Business?
Fully-managed tools include "included" tokens in your seat price, then mark up overages 2-4×. For light users the included allowance is wasted; for heavy users the overage is painful. With BYOK you pay the provider directly and pay us a predictable licence on top. The crossover point is around mid-usage.
What if Anthropic raises prices?
You feel it directly because you pay them directly. We do not insulate you from provider economics — we expose them. The upside: when Anthropic drops prices (which they do), the saving lands in your account, not in our margin.
Can I use a different AI provider?
Yes. Anthropic Claude is the default Brain, but the AI Services Registry supports OpenAI, Gemini, and local models (Ollama) for drones, classifiers, and media generation. Configure per-task by quality preference.
